The state of North Carolina is facing a deadline of 5 pm. eastern today over its so-called “bathroom law.” The U.S. Justice Department has given the state until the close of business today to fix what authorities are calling a violation of federal sex discrimination protections. The law enacted six weeks ago bans people from using pubic bathrooms that don’t correspond with the gender on their birth certificates. Governor Pat McCrory said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday” that he is discussing all of his state’s legal and political options.
