There is good news for the veterans in the Queen City.  Amid challenges nationally for the Veterans Administration, Charlotte just opened a new $104 million, 295,000 square foot building on Tyvola Road.  It is officially one of the largest VA health centers in the country, with comprehensive services including enhanced outpatient and specialty services; cardiology, neurology, dental and oncology for up to 35,000 veterans every year throughout the Charlotte area. The new center is projected to employ almost 700 doctors and support staff within the next 12 months.

Kaye Green, the director of the new VA Center says “One our goals here in this great state is to become the most veteran-friendly state.”
