But the following tidbit blows the lid off. A top adviser to Gov. John Kasich spoke under anonymity, telling the magazine that Donald Trump Jr. specifically reached out and offered him an option to become “the most powerful vice president in history.”
New York Magazine writes:
When Kasich’s adviser asked how this would be the case, Donald Jr. explained that his father’s vice president would be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.
Then what, the adviser asked, would Trump be in charge of?
“Making America great again” was the casual reply.
On Wednesday afternoon, Trump denied he was considering Kasich with the following tweet:

Trump’s advisers consulted with Washington lawyer A.B. Culvahouse, who investigated each candidate. Culvahouse also vetted Sarah Palin for Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, according to the article.
