Richmond, VA — After six incredible and sensational years, Rev. Dr. Emory and Dr. Julie Emory III will be leaving as the senior pastor of 4th Baptist Church in Richmond, VA to become the senior pastor of megachurch Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur, GA.
His first service at his new location will take place this Sunday at 7:45am and 10:45am, however he will officially take over the first week of October. Currently serving as Pastor-Elect Dr. Emory Berry, he was selected from more than 400 applicants.
The move will put him and his family closer to other family members in the Florida areas. “I thank God for the favor and am excited about the opportunity.”
Dr. Berry says, “I knew at some point I would be leaving Richmond, I just didn’t know when and right now is when as I am looking at boxes everywhere. My wife and kids are also excited about the move but we are trusting God all the way.”
