TBR — Richmond, VA – With a fresh sound, polished look and stellar moves, G.I., delivered an amazing CD release party that will long we remembered. If you have ever met the group members, Branden Anderson, Lamonte Harris and Rufus Johnson, you will know just like everyone else who knows them, they are really great guys. They sing from their hearts with hopes of touching and uplifting the lives. From the stage, during hectic touring schedules to giving back to their own communities where they continuously pour their talents into younger versions of themselves from all backgrounds, these guys, G.I. have once again raised the bar.

On Sunday night, it was their night to shine and to showcase their new music, however, as history would repeat itself, they opened up the opportunity for two younger groups to take the stage first. The first group EPIC, which stands for Empowering People In Christ was formed in early 2017 by four young friends who grew up in church. They are Savannah Bartlett, Julia Hathaway, Jaiden McCoy and Tamia Picket. Although they are young, their goal is to empower young people through song. The other opening performer was Antonio Tucker. While he may be only 9-years-old, he delivered two powerful songs and a mini sermonette that left many people speechless. Both of the groups come from the school of BGA School of the Arts, which was created by G.I, aka God’s Image.

Also delivering powerful performances for the evening were David Wilson and Zion’s Voice and the multi-talented Billboard chart topper James Johnson, who made a quick appearance before flying out to Charlotte, NC.
After a shot appeal to sell G.I. CD’s, it was time for the headliners of the evening to take center stage. From their introduction, to video clips and special guests, the chart topping, Stellar Award Nominee G.I., took to their WINNING stage, to perform their many back to back hits. From Winning to Pray and Don’t Worry the crowd couldn’t get enough.
After the concert, G.I stayed behind to meet all of their fans, took pictures and signed autographs.
Sheilah Belle, “The Belle” was the emcee for the evening!
It was truly a blessed evening.
