Richmond, VA – Saint Paul’s Baptist Church under the leadership of senior pastor, Dr. Lance D. Watson, welcomed Pastor Jamal Harrison Bryant as the guest minister on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Speaking from the book of Genesis, Pastor Bryant used the parable of a tree and how much it gave of itself to a man during his life until it had nothing else left to give. He then compared that situation to how people will take from others as much as they can, until there is nothing else to take and then walk a way, leaving the person they have taken from little to give back to themselves.
He also spoke about wisdom and knowing how to balance giving and taking care of yourself, verses giving more than you are really capable of giving. However he reminded everyone, “You were created to give somebody strength. However some people don’t realize how bad they need you until they lose you!”
It was a powerful sermon.
