Richmond, VA — Richmond’s Crown Jewel, Main Street Station, will host its fourteenth weekend Grand Illumination and first ever Grand Illumination of the newly renovated Train Shed.   Two more firsts will be the Grand Opening of “The Gallery at Main Street Station,” hosted by Crossroads Art Center, and the kick off of the “Winter Market,” hosted by Southern Grade.

“The Grand Illumination has become a Richmond holiday tradition,” said Mayor Stoney. “Bring your family and friends for a ‘grand’ taste of Richmond.”

This year, you can SHOP the SHED in 100,000 sq. ft. of floor area encased in glass. Come see Santa and watch the toy trains roll.  Listen to Saxophonist James “Saxsmo” Gates, the Tuba Christmas ensemble and other musicians. Watch the Merry Elves Aerialist perform on Friday night or take in the work of Richmond’s art community. The celebration and all events are FREE and open to all ages.

Friday, December 1
