It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of The Queen of Soul and Music Legend and Icon Aretha Franklin.  She was 76 years old.

We send love and offer prayers to members of her family, her friends and colleagues who knew her well and understood her love and passion for music.

Her Publicist Gwendolyn Quinn says through a family statement that Franklin passed at Thursday at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit. The statement said “Franklin’s official cause of death was due to advance pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type, which was confirmed by Franklin’s oncologist, Dr. Philip Phillips of Karmanos Cancer Institute” in Detroit.”

She was truly a musical pioneer whose life and memories will live long in our hearts.

She is survived by her four sons and fans from around the world.

She will truly be missed!@  Our hearts go out to her.
