Radio One Richmond got up close and personal with the candidates currently running for Senate for the state of Virginia. Current Senator Tim Kaine (D) and candidate Corey Stewart (R) spoke separately at the Senatorial Community Forum Wednesday night.
Moderated by Radio One Richmond’s Miss Community Clovia and Juan Conde with WRIC ABC 8 News, the event took place at the at the Virginia War Memorial, in Richmond from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Free and open to the public, the forum gave residents of the state of Virginia the opportunity to connect, engage and listen to the platforms of each candidate in the areas of Medicaid expansion, the opioid and heroin crisis, government entitlements, prisoner re-entry reform, budget caps, gun rights and infrastructure.
After the forum candidates took time to take pictures and speak further with voters about their platform. Delicious food was provided by Chef MaMusu’s.
