Pastor Linda C. Jenkins is the founder of the Grace and Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. Her faith journey began as a child and led to her commitment and dedication to serving the Lord as an adult. As a Pastor and Gospel preacher, she is committed to helping people in making a genuine and committed connection with God and encouraging believers to live out their faith by receiving the Word of God, believing the Word of God, and living the Word of God.

Reverend Linda C. Jenkins is the founder of the Grace and Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. As a pastor and Gospel preacher, she is committed to helping people in making a genuine and committed connection with God and encouraging believers to live out their faith by receiving the Word of God, believing the Word of God, and living the Word of God. This belief is emphasized in the mission of the church which intentional seeks to transform lives which leads to transformed communities by the transforming power of Christ Jesus.

She is a native of Richmond, VA and was educated in the Richmond Public School system. She earned an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Adult Education) from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Divinity from Virginia Union University Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology.

Her faith journey began has a child and led to her commitment and dedication to serving the Lord as an adult. As a member of Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Richmond, VA, she served in the ministries of church school, children and youth ministry, children’s church, and finances. She also served as the director for Area A District A-1 Junior Missionaries and served on the teaching staff for Baptist General Convention.

She was licensed to preach on April 20, 1997, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Kenneth E. Dennis, Sr. While at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist she served as an associate minister, minister of Christian Education, worked with the Church School teaching staff, chaired the intercessory prayer ministry, and led the prayer line.

She also served as an associate minister at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA under the pastorate of Rev. Eli Melvin. On November 3, 2019, Pastors Kenneth E. Dennis, Sr. and Eli Melvin, Sr. ordained her.

Rev. Jenkins actively takes part in other organizations dedicated to uplifting the name of Jesus Christ and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a past president of the Women’s Bible Fellowship of Richmond and Vicinity; past minister of Christian education for the Tuckahoe Baptist Association of Virginia and recording secretary for the Clergy division of the Tuckahoe Baptist Association of Virginia.

Currently she serves as president of the Church School Forum of Richmond and Vicinity and the Intercessory Prayer Changing Ministry of Richmond & Vicinity, 3rd Vice Moderator of Tuckahoe Baptist Association of Virginia, and the secretary of the Henrico and Ministers’ Conference & Vicinity.

In addition to her service in religious organizations, Rev. Jenkins taught in public schools for 50 years. The years have been packed with a variety of educational experiences and scenarios. She has experienced teaching and learning as an educator in the public-school systems of Prince Edward County and Henrico County, the Even Start Family Literacy program in Richmond, a math teacher in an alternative education program in the city of Richmond, Math Lab administrator in Fredericksburg, and as a tutor in the Middle College at J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College. Currently, she is employed as Transition Coordinator for the Henrico County Adult Education Complex.

Her diverse experiences in both the secular and religious spheres have allowed her to evolve as a Christian Education workshop presenter, pastor, and Christian teacher. Her teachings give a framework for people to embark on a transformative journey of faith.

She became a single mom when unforeseen circumstances dictated the need for her to make a home for her nieces. She is the proud Auntie of two nieces, Tonya, and Keisha. And a doubly proud Grand Auntie of two great nephews, Eric Jr., and Omar and two great nieces, Khaiah and Khamani.

When Linda is not actively engaged in the world of ministry, education, and learning, she loves spending time with her dogs, Winston, and Kingston, and taking long leisurely walks. She also enjoys relaxing with an enjoyable book by James Patterson, a box of colored pencils and a coloring book featuring flowers.

If you only remember one thing about Linda, make it this.” She has been crucified with Christ, it is no longer her who lives, but Christ who lives in her. The life she now lives, she lives by faith in Jesus Christ, who loves her and gave his life for her.”  (Galatians 2:20)
