Los Angeles, CA — Ami Rushes Ministries kicked off the first leg of the “Testify” tour in Detroit, MI, where she interviewed with Marvin Winans and Deborah Pollard-Smith at radio station WJLB, and Impact Network’s Good News with Greg Davis and TCT’s I’m Just Sayin’ as well as blessing many at Craig Memorial Tabernacle and Burning Bush International Ministries.
On the heels of her successful fourth release, TESTIFY, honoring the late Reverend Timothy Wright and Dottie Rambo, and living legend Andre Crouch, while continuing the support of gospel classics and her adoration of traditional gospel music, Ami Rushes felt it was time to hit the road and share her testimony.
“So many people have been asking me when we will be in their city,” says Rushes. “So I decided to launch a nationwide “Testify” church tour to create continued awareness for my current project, and to meet the wonderful people that have supported Ami Rushes Ministries all these years. But most of all this tour is to encourage people to TESTIFY. Open up and share their testimony of the goodness of God and what He ‘s done in their lives. After all, the bible tells us that we “overcome him by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.”
The tour will make several stops, including Memphis, at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards where TESTIFY is nominated for: Traditional CD of the Year, Song of the Year, Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, Product Packaging of the Year and Music Video of the Year.
The second leg will include Dallas, Ohio, Florida, New York Baltimore, D.C., Nashville, Indianapolis and more.
As with all her releases, 10% of the proceeds from the sales of TESTIFY will benefit Save Africa’s Children, a charity founded by her pastor, Bishop Charles E. Blake of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles, California, which currently provides support to over 160 orphanages throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
Singing many years with Rev. James Cleveland and a longtime member of the predominantly African-American ministry, West Angeles Church of God in Christ, Ami Rushes, a native Californian, hopes that TESTIFY will continue to spread Christ’s good news offering spiritual happiness and hope beyond the listener’s circumstance.
