Washington, D.C. — Contemporary Gospel Artist Earnest Pugh is truly on a roll.  The unstoppable singer, known for his hit, Rain OnUs, is heating up the Billboard charts once again with the lead single from his upcoming project, Earnestly Yours.  “I Need Your Glory”, a stunning power ballad about the incredible presence of God, is taking the charts by storm.  Only out of the gate for 3 weeks now, the single has shot up the charts.  In an unprecedented move, the track soars to the Top 20 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Songs Chart at #20.  The song entered the lineup a few weeks ago at the 29th spot.

Industry Executive and CEO of Blacksmoke Music Worldwide, Kerry Douglas, pitched “I Need Your Glory” to Pugh as the lead single for his  new CD after discovering it received over 1-million hits on YouTube. The original writer, James Fortune, recorded the song on two other occasions with Zecarti Cortez and Pastor William Murphy on the lead, however, Pugh’s rendition of the song is resonating in the hearts and minds of listeners on another level.  In addition, the song has received the most increased plays this week.

Kerry says, “After making such noise with ‘Rain On Us’, the people at radio were checking for Pugh out of genuine love and respect for his work. To my surprise ’I Need Your Glory’ is moving much faster than ‘Rain On Us’ did so I am very optimistic about where Pugh will go from here.”

Pugh says, “I am floored by the unusual degree of favor that has been manifested. I approach this platform with fear and trembling-knowing that I have done nothing of my own to get to this place. God makes choices and I am so glad to be chosen.  My prayer is that people see less of me and more of Him.”

Earnestly Yours will be hitting store shelves and retailers online on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.  The artist is holding Listening Parties all over the country to celebrate the project’s debut.  For more information, log on to www.EarnestPugh.com.
