The Martin Luther King, Jr.Memorial ceremony, which was set to take place on Sunday in Washington, DC , has been postponed due to the incoming Hurricane Irene, which is expected to wreak havoc along the eastern seaboard this weekend, including the nation’s capital.  So far, no rescheduled date has been announced as officials agonized over this decision for the past two days.  President Obama was slated to appear as well, but with a Category 3 hurricane on the way and hundreds of thousands of people expected to attend, there really was no choice.
