“America’s Got Talent,” the country’s most-watched summer series, wrapped up another season Wednesday.

Singer Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. collected the million-dollar prize and the chance to headline a Las Vegas show. Murphy, who has four children, has been washing cars at a car dealership in Chapmanville, West Va. The runner-up was the large dance troupe Silhouttes, which spelled out words with the performers’ bodies.

Move Over Oprah, Here Comes Shonda RhimesTeam iLuminate, which gave a dynamic performance Tuesday, placed third in the viewer vote.

The band PopLyfe, which gave a weak performance Tuesday, was fourth — not a surprising finish. But PopLyfe did get to perform with its idol, Stevie Wonder.

The NBC talent contest also offered a duet by Tony Bennett and Queen Latifah, a performance by Cirque du Soleil and a big production number with atrocious acts that flopped this season. The show saved Jackie Evancho for the last guest performance. She didn’t win when she competed, but she is a big star. (Last year’s winner, Michael Grimm, performed last week on “America’s Got Talent.”)
