(Earnest Pugh stops by to see The Belle during the VA GAG Anniversary over the weekend)

Washington, DC — Earnest Pugh’s blessings just keep coming.  The “I Need Your Glory” gospel singer has experienced phenomenal success from the track.  Recently soaring back to the top spot on the Billboard Top Gospel Songs, the song has been touching people for months now.  The riveting ballad is from Earnest’s latest release, Earnestly Yours, a project that recently received nine second round Stellar Award nominations including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and CD of the Year.

“I Need Your Glory”, the follow-up to his smash, “Rain On Us”, has catapulted the artist to one of the top in the genre.  In addition, after less than three months on YouTube, the concept video for “I Need Your Glory” has accumulated over 150,000 views.  Now the artist has been tapped to perform the ballad on the upcoming 2012 Stellar Awards.  The live taping of the 27th Annual Stellar Awards, one of the gospel industry’s highest accolades, will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2012, returning to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.  The artist is thrilled about the opportunity to perform the song on the program.  Pugh says, “I am honored that the Mr. Don Jackson and the Stellar Awards Committee deem me worthy of being on the stage with some of the greatest artists of all time. This long awaited dream has become a reality and I marvel at the goodness and favor of God.”

Pugh credits the momentum of the CD due to a great PR team.  Led by Bill Carpenter of Capital Entertainment and assisted by Andrea R. Williams of Tehillah Enterprises, Pugh believes his team has been instrumental in having him featured in the following publications: Essence Magazine, JET Magazine, The New York Times, The Examiner, Washington Post, Soar Magazine and many others.  In addition, he’s made appearances on FOX News, TBN and Bobby Jones Gospel (which airs on Sunday, December 18, 2011).

Earnest Pugh got his start in gospel music singing with pioneer O’landa Draper in his hometown of Memphis.  After the release his 2006 debut, he caught the attention of the industry with the hit, “Wrapped Up, Tied Up, Tangled Up”.  He became a household name in the genre with the 2009 release of “Rain On Us”, which charted in the Top 10 as one of Billboard’s Top Gospel Songs of 2010.  The gospel crooner, who now lives in the D.C. area, has appeared on BET’s Celebration of Gospel and the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s “Praise The Lord” program.  For more information about Earnest Pugh, log on to www.earnestpugh.com.
