Kicking off yet another exciting and eventful weekend in the Capitol City, family and friends have gathered at the Landmark Theatre for the highly anticipated “Forget Me Not Project,” a nationally acclaimed community event designed to fight against Alzheimer’s disease – an illness that is killing African Americans and Hispanics at alarming rates.

This morning’s prayer breakfast, health fair and open forum presented by Praise 104.7FM & KISS FM created more opportunities for guests to learn more about the impact of Alzheimer’s on our generation and what is being done to fight the good fight of faith along the way.

Designed to effectively bring science and art together in a rare experience meant to educate, empower and entertain all at once, the “Forget Me Not Project” is continuing this evening with the highly anticipated “Forget Me Not” stage play featuring world renowned special guests Bern Nadette Stanis (“Thelma” of Good Times), R&B legend Melba Moore, “Grammy nominee Calvin Richardson, Gary Jenkins (of R&B group Silk”) and plenty more.
