Sudden superstardom often takes a toll on even the strongest of the bunch, but leave it BET Sunday Best Season III winner Le’Andria Johnson to overcome the storm and blaze a path in the process. It’s already the middle of January 2012 and since her big win on the show she’s been all over the country releasing award-worthy music, encouraging thousands with her testimony and lifting up the name of Jesus.
With her new album “The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson” set to hit the shelves on Tuesday, February 14th, Le’Andria’s presentation as already gained the gritty, soulful singer a Grammy nomination – something she says she’s just “thankful to God for letting me experience it.” We’ve seen her up, we’ve seen her down and now there’s even more reason to celebrate.
Her birthday is January 23rd and we just wanted to reach out to our sister in Christ to salute her for her hard work and diligence in spite of any obstacles that have come along her way this past year.
