Tampa, FL — Many know Javen as a ground-breaking, dynamic CCM artist.  Chart-topping singles like “None Like You” and “Change” made him a favorite with Contemporary Christian listeners.  Seen frequently on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Javen is recognized as a singer, songwriter, producer, actor and speaker.  Few know that the Los Angeles-based singer has a passion for Gospel music, specifically praise and worship.  It was in his role as the former Worship Leader at Paula White’s Without Walls International in Tampa, FL, years ago, that he gained an understanding of worship.  “I believe those of us in the black church have church down to a science,” shares Javen.  “We know how to pray and we have some of the best preachers, and we also know how to praise.  As a culture, you can’t out shout us or out dance us, but worship is something I believe many of our churches are missing.  My goal is to bring worship to the forefront.”

The artist is shining a light on worship with the release of his brand new single, “Worshiper In Me”.  Penned by Javen and Stellar Award Winner Jonathan Nelson, the track is simply a beautiful love song to God.  Showcasing a different sound for the artist, the song is the first track released from his forthcoming live CD entitled Worship In The Now.  The live praise and worship record features the vocals of Jonathan Nelson on the lead single and appearances from guest artists Damita Haddon, who sings on “Lift Me Up”, and Marvin Winans, Jr., who lends his vocals on “Raise The Cross”.  The CD is set to release early 2013.

This live CD also gave birth to the Worship In The Now Series, a 3-day life-changing conference filled with a star studded line up of special guest artists.  The upcoming Worship In The Now Conference will be held November 7 – 9, 2012 in Tampa, Florida.

The event features teachings by great speakers, leaders, and pastors on successful living, spiritual growth, and more.  Tapping the crème of the crop, Javen’s conference features guest facilitators including hosting Pastor of CityLife Church Tony Stewart, TBN’s Matt & Laurie Crouch, pastor to the stars Tim Storey, former NFL Player Terrell Fletcher, visionary leader Toure Roberts, GRAMMY Award-nominated artists DeLeon Sheffield and Marvin Winans, Jr., and recording artists Kaci Stewart, Damita Haddon, Jacob Poole, LaRue Howard and KJ Scriven.  The conference will close out with a spirit-filled concert.

Not just focusing on the spirit, but on the body as well, the conference will host a food drive on that Friday night to assist the needy.  JCM Inc., a non-profit started by Javen that helps to stamp out homelessness, hunger, and poverty and Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, a local organization that aids disadvantaged children and provides food for those suffering with hunger, are partnering to provide assistance to those in need in the Tampa Bay area at the Worship In The Now Conference.  More information can be found at
