Citizens Against Crime


Citizens Against Crime will hold a “Citywide Candle Light Prayer Vigil” Sunday December 23, 2012 at 6:00pm; which will take place at Festival Park (adjacent to the Richmond Coli-seum) 601 East Leigh Street. The Honorable Dwight C. Jones, Mayor of Richmond, VA will bring condolences and remarks on behalf of the city. The purpose for this prayer vigil is to show a solidarity of support to the families, students and staff of Newtown Connecticut and to allow a moment of comfort to Richmonders who are grieving from the tragedy. Also invited to speak is Bob F. McDonnell, Governor of Virginia; Bryan T. Norwood, Chief of Police, School Superintendent, Dr. Yvonne Brandon; State Legislators; City Council Members: Clergy Lead-ers from different places of worship; and Alicia C.
