Richmond, VA – When it comes to Sunday dinner, it holds an entirely different meaning if you attend St. Paul’s Baptist Church, Creighton Campus, where Dr. Lance D. Watson is the senior pastor. Sure, the people come to hear one of two of Dr. Watson’s Sunday morning services at 8:45am and 11:15am, however there’s another reason why many of the congregants stick around after service.

While the lines are sometimes long, from those purchasing the Sunday sermon made available on CD, to simply fellowshipping in the long corridors of the church, there are also those that make a regular “B” line to the church cafeteria, thanks to Gregory Jones, Banquet Manager and his entire staff.

From the Culinary Arts Department staff to the food that is simply delish it makes for a good combination!  Just ask any of the hundreds of patronages that come through each Sunday for dinner.

The menu ranges from a full breakfast buffet from hotcakes, eggs, bacon, fried apples, sausage, fresh fruit and A LOT more to dinner entrees including Salmon, Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Spaghetti, Lasagna, Catfish, Flounder, Mashed Potatoes, Yams, Corn, Rice, Broccoli, Greens, Soup, an assortment of desserts, beverages and so much more.

Ask anyone who eats there regularly and they will also tell you, they are not the only ones who eat there. Members from other nearby churches and participants in weekend events also seem to find their way to the church on Sunday for dinner because of the food selection and the reasonable price.

The staff includes Mr. Langston Brown, Fried Cook, Eddie Lemons, Lead Chef, Gregory Jones, Banquet Manager and Front Row, Lawanda Burch, Cashier, Sheila Meade, Cashier, Carmen Young, Assistant Chef, and several volunteers including Dana Jones, Brittney Lambert, Carrie Warwick, Caron Dumas and Deacon Sterling Stokes.

Truly, St. Paul’s Baptist Church has you covered for everything when it comes to your mind, body, soul and stomach and has become the place to go after Sunday morning service if you are looking for good fellowship and great food.
