The unfortunate incident that took place this past weekend during Trump’s presidential rally has prompted several churches to speak out. Regardless of personal views, assassination is never condoned. If we ever needed uplifting words of encouragement, now is the time.
As believers, we are told to see the good and as difficult as that may be in the present moment, pastors are joining forces on social media to share messages of peace and love through adversity.
Churches have posted encouraging and heartfelt community posts, reminding others the power of prayer and the importance of loving your neighbor despite your differences. While we don’t necessarily know what the future holds, we do know who holds the future and with that, we can at least rest in knowing that it’s already handled.
