Virginia has an election every year which means the peoples’ voice should be heard on issues of healthcare, education, civil rights, justice, jobs and medicare. Every aspect of your life is decided on at the “stroke of a vote”.
There are three contenders in the Virginia governor’s race for 2013  Democrat Terry McAuliffe , Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Libertarian Robert Sarvis. Cuccinelli is currently the Attorney General for Virginia and will not seek a second term only to run for governor. McAuliffe is a businessman, entreprenuer and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee. And, Sarvis is an attorney, a software engineer and small business owner.
The Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor is State Senator Ralph Northam.Â
The Democratic candidate for attorney general is State Senator Mark Herring.Â
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Check on your voter status and poll location online  by visiting the Virginia State Board of Elections.
The Republican candidate for lieutenant governor is Bishop E.W. Jackson and the candidate for Attorney General is State Senator Mark Obenshain.
