Atlanta, GA – For the celebrities who did not make it to the Grammy’s over the weekend they were probably in attendance at the Trumpet Awards including Dr. Bobby Jones who walked the Red Carpet.
Held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on January 23rd – 25th, in Atlanta, GA this year’s honorees included DeVon Franklin, The Honorable Kamala Harris, Deryl & Cheryl McKissack, Charles J. Ogletree, Jr., Steve Pemberton, Alfre Woodard, Bronner Brothers and the Williams Sisters.
This year’s performers list was just as impressive including Tasha Cobbs, Avant, Raheem Devaughn, Jaheim, Chrisete Michele, Smokie Norful, Amber Riley, SWV, Carl Thomas, Melle Mel and Kuris Blow.
The guest list was also filled with heavy hitters including TV One’s News man Roland Martin who got a chance to interview Dr. Bobby Jones, a past Trumpet Award recipient and his good friend Prime Minister Christie of the Bahamas.
