IT’S OFFICIAL! Virginia State Delegate Joe Morrissey (D – Henrico) says he WILL resign from his seat in the General Assembly and he has already tendered his resignation.
However, there may be a catch. Morrissey says he wants voters to decide his political future and added that he will run again for his seat during a special election on Jan. 13.
This also marks the same date that Morrissey’s resignation goes into effect, just one day before the General Assembly convenes which is January 14th.
