Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 34:19 (kjv)

Pain in the Christmas Season?

No WAY!!!  Not as a believer! Right? Can stress and difficulty, trials, loss, heartache, financial calamities overwhelm the life of a believer during this season of Joy and Thanksgiving?   The answer is a BIG Yes WAY!!!  Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!  I was sure to be writing this blog about someone else’s bad news or someone else’s pain to encourage them and then….just like that I received some unexpected bad news of my own that sent a shock wave of pain through my body.  The Christmas season or any other time for that matter, doesn’t erase trouble, sickness, or hardships from any of us.  Pain can strike our life at any time.

Most often, it is when we least expect it.  So for me, my mind started to do its usual churning and worry kicked in…until my spirit was whispering “girl, this is what you are singing about right now.  Your single is “Praise Him In My Pain” and so what are you going to do?”  I immediately was convicted and fell into a praise that shifted my mood and prior thoughts.

We have to keep reminding ourselves that just like God delivered us before, he can and will do it again.  It might be a different situation but the same God.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.

His faithfulness does not cease.  When pain of any magnitude hits your life this season, please, please remember to praise him still because he’ delivers us from it all’.
