Zimbabwe Begins Extradition Process For Cecil Killer

Zimbabwe’s Prosecutor-General has begun the process to have US dentist Walter Palmer extradited over killing the renowned lion, Cecil, a beloved and popular attraction at Hwange National Park. Palmer has gone into hiding for illegally hunting, skinning and beheading a lion that was being studied by Oxford researchers. The dentist was been swarmed with death threats and criticism online and the United Nations has already cited Cecil’s killing, using it as an incentive to crack down on unlawful poaching and wildlife trafficking.
