PREPARES TO RELEASE NEW BOOK WITH WIFE, ‘AMAZING LOVE’

Washington, DC – The dynamic gospel super group, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, which recently earned its first GRAMMY® Award nomination for Best Gospel Performance/Song for the inspirational mega hit, “You Deserve It.” Now, they are back on the charts with the foot-stomping new song, “No Reason To Fear,” the second radio single from the soul-stirring album, You Deserve It (JamesTown Records).The tune is currently #10 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart and rapidly climbing.
The heavy African and Caribbean rhythm is rocking church houses around the globe. “I wanted to make a statement with this song,” Hairston says. “I want the listeners to know that with God on our side we have No Reason To Fear.” In a world full of uncertainty and fear, this anthem reverberates with a universal declaration of God’s faithfulness and protection.
Hairston is currently gearing up for the Stellar Gospel Music Award Weekend. This year, You Deserve It, is nominated for 9 Stellar Gospel Music Awards in the categories of Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, CD of the Year, Choir of the Year, Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year, Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year, Contemporary Choir of the Year, and Praise and Worship CD of the Year.
The 33rd Annual Stellar Awards is scheduled to be taped in Las Vegas, NV on March 24th and it will air in syndication throughout the spring.
Hairston and his wife, Trina, will release their new book entitled, Amazing Love, during Stellar Award Weekend. The title examines relationships, marriage, and faith and how they all come together to conquer anything through Amazing Love.
J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise was formed in 1991 as a youth group at Turner’s Faith Temple (TFT) in Bridgeport, CT. They were originally known as Teens of TFT and served as the choir for the church that was pastored by Bishop J.C. White and Evangelist Gloria White. The group is known for their Top Ten gospel radio hits such as “After This,” “Resting On His Promises,” “Incredible God, Incredible Praise,” “Bless Me,” “You’re Mighty” and the No. 1 smash, “You Deserve It.” Hairston has also launched a new syndicated radio show, Youthful Praise with JJ Hairston, on the Musical Soul Food Radio Network. The album “You Deserve It” is the first release on Hairston’s JamesTown Records label.
