For years we’ve been taught to stay away from the red meats when trying to lose weight, but it may help you lose those extra pounds faster. Believe it or not, a new study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, stated women who  included beef in their diets lost more weight than the women who didn’t. “Protein in steak helps you retain muscle mass during weight loss,” says study author Manny Noakes, Ph.D. This doesn’t mean run to your local fast food strip after the gym, but consuming local organic beef will actually help your diet and health. Beef on a salad or mix veggies will give you that red meat fix all while fitting nicely in your diet.
